Elbow Strike
As with the movement of the body in the hook punch technique rotate the front leg and foot inwards with the strike so that your elbow and foot and up facing in the same direction. Recover back to ready stance, guard up. The impact point can be either the forearm or elbow depending upon the target area.

 

Considerations for the Elbow Strike:

  • The strike starts at the feet.
  • Remember to rotate the body in the same direction as the motion of your strike.
  • Do not over rotate the strike or it will be hard to recover.
  • All techniques should be practiced under the supervision of a qualified instructor.
