Switch Stance
The switch stance is an on the spot rapid movement for changing
your ready position from left to right, to right to left. Without
jumping! Keep your body level. This is a technique to master in
order to be able to function equally on your left side and your
right side, so that you can actually perform from either a south
paw or an orthodox position. Needless to say, if you are capable
of using both sides as well as each other it gives you more versatility
in your technique and your ability to move around and perform.
Things to consider in the switch stance:
- Weight should be equally placed on front and back feet and easily
transferable back and forth.
- When switching stance you should try to remain as level as possible
in order to disguise your movement.
- Good balance, agility and speed
